Cozy Audio / MorphTone
Vocal tone matching plugin

MorphTone

Make your vocal sound professional, like the one in your favourite song.

  • Drop in any finished song. No stems needed.
  • One knob, from a subtle nudge to a full match.
  • Zero latency, so you tweak while the session plays.

VST3 for Windows. Works on bass too.

The whole workflow in under 30 seconds: drop a song, press LISTEN, turn MORPH.
Sound familiar?

You can hear the difference. You just can't dial it in.

“My vocal doesn't sit like the record.”

You hear it straight away, but not what to change to get there.

Matching by ear eats the session.

Hours of small moves, and you second-guess every one of them.

You want the vocal, not the whole mix.

Other matching tools compare full songs. You want the tone of one instrument, without the drums and synths mixed in.

You don't have the stems.

All you have is the finished track. That is all MorphTone needs, and an mp3 is fine.

Louder always sounds better.

So before/after comparisons lie. MorphTone keeps the level the same, and you hear only the tone change.

You found a sound you love.

And you want it on the next song too, without starting from zero.

You'd rather be making music.

Spend your energy on the creative part. MorphTone takes care of the technical tone work for you.

The recording isn't perfect.

MorphTone adapts to whatever vocal you give it. It helps cover up a dull, thin or boxy take and tames harsh or boomy build-ups, so the voice sounds smoother.

How it works

Reference in. Knob up. Done.

  1. Drop in a song

Drag a reference onto the plugin. MorphTone pulls the vocal out of the finished song. Select only the verse or hook you like if you want.

  2. Press LISTEN

Play your track. MorphTone learns how your vocal sounds right now. Press LISTEN again when it has heard enough.

  3. Turn MORPH

At 0 nothing changes. At 100% your track takes on the reference's tone. Anywhere in between is a blend, and it updates as you turn.

  4. Save the tone

Keep it as a preset and use it on other tracks and other songs later.

Straight talk

It matches tone. It doesn't copy the record.

MorphTone matches how bright, warm, full or thin the vocal sounds. It doesn't copy the singer's voice, the reverb, the effects or the whole mix. Think of it as the fastest starting point you have had, with the rest of the mix still yours.

FAQ

Before you ask.

Do I need the stems or the a cappella of the reference?

No. Give MorphTone the finished song and it isolates the vocal itself.

Will my vocal sound like that singer?

No. MorphTone matches tone, meaning how bright, warm, full or thin the track sounds. Your voice, your performance and your effects stay yours.

How long does it take?

A new reference takes about a couple of minutes to analyse for a full song. After that it is remembered, and turning the knob is instant.

Does it add latency?

No. You can use it while recording and while mixing.

Can I reuse a tone on another song?

Yes. Save it as a preset and load it on any track.

Does it work on anything besides vocals?

Yes, there is a Bass mode for bass and 808s. Vocals are what it is built around.

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet. MorphTone is VST3 for Windows right now.

How do refunds work?

Ask within 14 days of purchase and you get your money back. See the refund policy.
